Preliminary Itinerary

Day 1 – Nairobi to Ndoto Mountains
Depart Nairobi at 5.00 a.m. Stop by Nanyuki/Isiolo for coffee and take away lunch. Nairobi to Ndoto mountains is approximately 8 hours. Along the route is Matthew ranges and attractive views like Mt Ololokwe. There is also likelyhood to spot Somali Ostrich crossing the road. From Isiolo to Archers post are the Turkana and Samburu people. When it's market day you may find the local community in their traditional attire just going about their business. We arrive at 1730H at the Ndoto mountains foothills and check in at the host campsite for Dinner *cultural entertainment (Samburu/Rendille Morans dancing can be organised in advance at a fee).
Day 2 - Ndoto Mountains to Lake Turkana
0700H – have breakfast at 7.00 a.m. In the Morning we take a 3km hike (walk) along the Ngurunit river under the shade of trees that are decades if not centuries old. We may also have some fun at the rockslides if the river has sufficient water. We may also visit a Rendille village or manyatta (*optional)
Exit Ngurunit for Loiyangalani (attractions; Nyiro mountains, Lake Turkana Windpower, Mt Kulal, Hill dunes) Dinner at a lakeside resort where we also spend the night.
Day 3. - Loiyangalani to Kalacha (via North Horr)
Activities (short boat ride if the weather allows, visit a village either Elmolo/ Turkana, Desert museum, Lake Turkana sunset, Rock art) – the list of activities will be agreed on in the morning. Exit the lakeside town of Loiyangalani. Enter the land of the Gabra people filled with oasis and deserts, horizon mirage abound. Visit the North Horr sand dunes, and enjoy lunch there. Afternoon drive to Kalacha for dinner and night.
Day 4 – Kalacha – Marsabit via Chalbi desert.
Drive through the expansive Chalbi flat, which is said to have been a lake that dried draining the craters of Marsabit. Check in to a Marsabit hotel and later a landscape experience at Marsabit Park, where we find crater lakes and dense forests. We may also spot some animals in the park.
Day5. - Marsabit to Nairobi
Check out at 0800H for a 7 to 8 hours drive to Nairobi, all tarmac.
Logistics
Guest Vehicles: Two 4x4 Luxurious Tour Landcruiser with pop up roof.
Food Supplies: Meals will be provided on the places of accommodation, where take away lunch is needed, the same shall be organised. From Day 1 Lunch to Day 5 breakfast.
Local Guides: To access attractions in community areas, the services of a local guide will be required. Accommodation Accommodation is on cottages and campsites throughout the circuit. The accommodation is clean and comfortable, it's the best we have on each destination but may not equate to other rated properties on Kenya's southern tour circuits.
Operations
A lot of work goes into planning, ground prepping and handling. On site and remote efforts will be put in place to ensure a smooth and seamless trip. In some attractions there maybe community fees, tips for local guides, advisers and elders.
Financial Costs
